The Manufacturing Roundtable is excited to have Ontic in Chatsworth as our next Host!  Our Guest Speaker is John Bwarie of Made in LA, a group and movement of like-minded businesses celebrating creativity, craft, and community.  They are powered by passionate people making products with soul in the heart of L.A., from food to fashion, home goods to cosmetics and more.  Made in LA amplifies LA made products, businesses, and the Angelenos behind the brands.

Bwarie leverages two decades of community engagement and coalition building for small businesses, non-profits, and professional organizations, resulting in numerous, highly impactful, and visible success programs.  As CEO of Stratiscope, John harnesses the power of diverse communities to develop strategic economic development plans and programs that revitalize cities, reinvigorate business and professional associations, and support goals of local communities and small business owners.  Most recently, for Made in LA, an organization envisioned by John in collaboration with an extraordinary group of co-founders, coalesced 200 local manufacturers to successfully advocate for policy and drive sales revenue through an inaugural gift guide and web presence. John has been recognized for his support for business by the LA County Business Federation (BizFed), Together for LA, and the San Fernando Valley Business Journal. 

Our other Speaker will be Alex Martinez, a Service Coordinator with Goodwill Southern California and the South Valley YouthSource Center. The organization transforms lives through providing education, training, work experience and job placement services for youth and young adults (ages 14 - 24), while also paying their salaries.  

This private Roundtable of select companies and local elected officials continues the dialogue the Chamber began three years ago with some of the largest manufacturing companies in the Valley.  Many companies share similar challenges, but all companies have their own unique industry hurdles to overcome.

We welcome the participation of our elected officials to listen, dialogue and take action on the issues our manufacturing members face in the post-pandemic economy.
